An echinoderm holdfast that was found with two other holdfasts on a rugose coral that weathered out of the Lower Windom Shale at the Penn Dixie Site.  This holdfast may have supported a blastoid or crinoid above the sea floor bottom.  The specimen is approximately 0.4 cm across and was collected in August 2006 by Jerry Bastedo.   Photo by Richard Spencer.
